Think we will ever see computer/console/online A&A again? I still enjoy my 1998 CD-ROM version!

I've been working for the past 4 years on a certain game. It will be publicly announced around the middle of June. It's not Axis & Allies but it is a global WW2 game with significantly different features. Keep a lookout on this forum and BGG.

After over 3 decades of doing A&A, why not do the magnum opus? Your original version came very close to a balance as online play with a few adjustments proved. So many experience points have been accumulated since that time. Somewhere I imagine in your imagination was ideas for "How To Really Do This". Basic but better? Grognard and good? Historical reality with win conditions based on how one did versus the real/likely outcomes? Collectible miniatures? Whatever it is Larry, the next swing of the bat represents your life as a game designer coming to its fullest fruition. Should it need reworking, well, there's always V2.0 available...LOL!

I wish you the best.

Rick

P.S. Thank you for allowing me to post freely. I promise to be nice and maybe entertainingly confusing!

Hello Rick.
To be clear... I was not purposefully keeping you off the site. I was having technical problems.
Happy that you are here! Please, by all means... entertain and confuse us.
This coming project is my MAGNUM OPUS.

Larry

Technical problems with computers? LOL! That is why a friend of mine calls them "confusers"! After making your magnum opus it will be time to buy a magnum of wine and a Telefunken Opus (a really big German table radio) to celebrate! It will be fun to see what you came up with. Game design is a real art. Amazing isn't it how many you came up with?

I'm already liking it; it sounds like a breath of fresh air!
I'm hoping you stick to plastic figurines, but blocks would be great too (like Columbia Games' East Front).

Is that the new name of the game? MAGNUM OPUS? Seems fitting.
