I doubt they got any material benefit from the system. Slave labourers are not motivated and were so ill treated they didn't last for long, and sabotage was inevitable.

Better treatment of populations in occupied countries would have been far more effective; for example granting Ukraine independent status would have been a significant boost as the population initially welcomed the Germans as liberators. But Hitler was only interested in enslaving and exploiting them so they soon turned to resistance.

When the Holocaust was set in motion the war was already lost for all practical purposes; it was really more a case of Hitler getting in his revenge for being trapped into a war he couldn't win.

It was the vanity of abusing people on a large scale that made it so easy, to try to integrate into their war economy.

Yes they used slave labor to make the underground facilities to make the V-2(a incredible sophisticated & time consuming & expensive weapon to make, that would have been better to use those resources to make conventional weapons). Overall the V weapons did little to help the German war fortunes(unless they used a NBC warhead on it). Free labor & for a just cause does it better, America was truly the Arsenal of Democracy, thanks, Pellulo
