Well then.

Well, it's a platonic solid and the d10 isn't. People do prefer platonic solids.

As for function, 12 divides nicely by 2, 3, 4, and 6. If you want charts for some reason, you can make rolls with even chance outcomes pretty easily. You also get two more pips to play with over a d10.

But then, I like d8s better than d10s too.

This whole tank change and how it degenerated to its current state has left quite a bad taste in my mouth. I'm actually thinking Larry should probably lock this whole thread and we can start a new one. I would hate for others unfamiliar with the tank debate to come in here and then read about all the unrelated crap in here. There has been some serious childish behavior shown.

In the future, everyone should really try to stay on topic.

Actually this thread has been pretty good up until page 14. I would not be against deleting all of the personal attacks and other crap that has been written in here after that page, but the ideas on tanks and mechs have been very good and I would like to continue with them if everyone would just get back on topic.

I will start. I still think some kind of change to help encourage purchases of tanks would be good.

We can cross off making them a 3/2/2/6 unit.

But what about give a +1 bonus to mechs attack / defense / both when paired with a tank?

What about make the tank a 4/3/2/6 unit. Would that be too much?

Discuss, theorize, give some arguement one way or the other. I would like to see feedback on these ideas. Thank you.

Don't forget the tank-buster bonus that a tactical bomber gets paired with a tank. We don't need to many combinations. I buy tanks playing a lot of powers - but off course not in vast numbers like in earlier A&A. I do not really see the current tank as a problem.
- I can't die yet, I haven't seen The Jolson Story.
