what a classic story!! i recall one guy, early in our gaming years, would get so bent out of shape for losing all the time by making silly buys...couldnt stand the fact that norway finland, wasnt connected to eastern europe...he would modify his map to perform his majestic strategy, on his map that now, connected norway finland with eastern europe, and still lost!! about 3 games on his new board i got to experience him picking it up, tearing it in half, and giving me everything else...

Why is there no mention of a North Africa game? It would be great to play out a Bulge or Stalingrad game with all of the tanks, crossing the Volga, etc. However, a game focused on all of the activity around the Med would be very interesting (German dominance and defense of the Med, supply problems, importance of the Nile, inclusion of Italy into the fray, late arrival of the US, etc..) Excluding aircraft carriers all of the original pieces of the game could still be employed (unless you assume destroyers and subs would be swarming the Volga).

Just curious.

Beats me... other than there are probably more popular and interesting themes to contend with first.

How well is D-Day doing, anyway? Has it been as succesful as the other games, or at least, succesful enough? Or is that information classified ;)

Though seeing as Larry is keen on the idea, I'd assume D-Day has done well enough to keep going with the idea ...
