Terrain Types

We've talked about Advanced A&A... Now I'd like to hear your comments on what YOU envision a DELUXE A&A GAME to be. What would it look like.

Should the game include more terrain types?

Yes, add mountains and other "difficult" terrain.

Only terrain effect in BOTB which is a much smaller scale are rivers.
Please do read a history book.
I have read a History book.

Your examples and counter arguments are all that is required if you think I am wrong.

With more territories we're going to need a bigger map to fit all of our pieces and a re-assignment of IPC values...

The terrain idea is intriguing, these terrains should be limited to only those covering major areas:

-Mountains
-Jungle
-Desert
-And keep the impassible areas.
Ever had the IJN have 4 BBs, 4 fully loaded CVs, 2 DDs, 5 TRNs, and 1 Sub -VS- 3 US BBs, 3 fully loaded CVs, 3 TRNs, 11 DDs and 1 Sub?

Well, there is a difference between adjustments in tactics that need made at a local level and those that need made at a strategic level.

Normandy's hedgerows for instance. Adjustments for that were made in Normandy not in Washington DC. Were no tanks employed in Italy and Norway? Or were the ways they were used adjusted?

I think though this is "Advanced A&A" discussion as opposed to "Deluxe A&A" discussion.

Oh, I love your maps.

The WWI map you sent along not too long ago is sweet!

I can properly separate out the fact that you do good work on maps from the piss-poor way you treat just about everyone you deal with on the various message boards. :P

Your condecending comment to Frimmel is case in point:

There was no need for such a statement, but you do it anyway.

Do you do it because you enjoy it or because you just can't help yourself? :?

It would just be sad if it weren't also quite rude. :(

While you're at it, throw in a spell and grammar check. It's always a pain in the ass having to decipher your chicken scratch to tell whether I am being insulted or not.

Now I just cant help myselv being rude, man, but do know that it is not to my liking and I dont take comfort of it, ass I just want a map with modifiers to mountain terrain and desert, and still looking good, and with square sea-zones, not the bee cube ones from mr Yopes game.

And you Yankees think so good of yourselves, you are the new master-racial, you rule the waves, the Middle East and the moon too, Im just happy to live a place you cant get me

Once again aldertag, I am not talking to you.

I properly quoted IL. That is where this is directed.

OH MY GOODNESS!!!!!!!!!

I can't believe it!

I must apologize.

IL- I am sorry. I improperly saddled you with something that wasn't from you. I have jumped to a conclusion that wasn't warranted.

I am wrong and I accept the responsibility for laying blame at your feet.
