ATTACK AND DEFENSE NUMBERS: Land Based

Thanks for your input todate. Here is a collection of my thinking at this point. Please feel free to participate in this on going discussion. Your contributions are appreciated. Tell your A&A friends about this so they have a chance to voice what they want in A-A&A. I'll update the the original posting as changes and new ideas are adopted or contemplated.

shouldn't soviet armor be 5/6? assuming this is dec 6 1941 the T-34 had been released and the KV-1 was out I think... if the germans need a puch give them acombined bonus when supporting Inf....

thats all d10 stuff anyway. the d12 values havent been confirmed yet.
We really need an Axis and Allies World War one game so i can play that on August 1st, 2014.

is that the good one? .. I know i posted two such lists. the second had units with like units (e.g. infantry with infantry>)

i changed it so it was easier to use while gaming...

its easier in case others want to try it just for giggles until larry defines the numbers he wants us to use...

so far its been pretty interesting using the D12's again...

You sure thats my list? or was it tweeked? I am sure i had revised this a produced a better more informed unit list ?

Fortifications:
IDEA ONE:
cost at 10 (same for all nations) rolls twice at 6/6 defense only (preemtive shots) can be built up to 3 levels and can be increased a maximun of one level per turn. At least one infantry unit has to "man" the unit for it to work. Units "inside" as defenders retreat w/o a free parting shots from attacking units.

IDEA TWO:
each border between two territories , or a island territory can build a "fortification level" . the first cost of the first level is 3 IP, and each additional level costs 2 IP to a maximum of 6 levels per border. Each turn no more than 3 levels can be created per turn. Each border level "adsorbs" one hit before the defending units are affected. Example: a 3 level fortification if attacked from the border its on will "obsorb" three hits before the units themselves are effected.Attacks from other borders have no effect and cannot be "absorbed" .
