I made a careful study of geopolitical boundaries to 1941, when the version of my game starts.
I'm completing the final and definitive version that includes some more territories - always historically correct to the period in which we refer.
I could add many territories because my map is very large 2.4 x 1.4 meters and is designed for play very long match because we can leave the game mounted in a separate room.
Sounds great. Looking forward to seeing the results.

I think for the greatest appeal to A&A players in general, you should avoid having too many zone. With the current A&A revised map it can take up to a full day to play. I think most players would want to finish a game in one day.

yea unless you got an All Axis All Allies move sequence.

In AA50 their is no reason why the turns need to be separated, except by both Germany and Italy playing against the Soviets. For the first turn only you should keep the existing move sequence, but then on turn 2 do all Axis followed by All Allies.
We really need an Axis and Allies World War one game so i can play that on August 1st, 2014.

Dear Black Fox,

thank for your post and comment. The non-excessive number of territories is a good observation but in our own game we chose a different path.
For normal games ending in a few hours we have the original games out of the box.
I have all the games except for Anniversary that is out of stock but I put my name in waiting list with an Italian on-line shop in case of any reprint of this version.
I also did a pre-order for the incoming Axis & Allies 1942.

Our custom game that, I called Total War, was though in 2005 as the union the Europe and Pacific maps same we will see in the next A&A Pacific ’40 A&A Pacific ’40.
Once we set the base map we liked a lot and we have implemented with a greater number of territories in order to bring the game play in some areas unless used in games out of the box, but always remaining faithful to the historical context.
For example the Italian boot is divided into 3 regions: North Italy, Urbe and South Italy.
Even the sea areas are in greater numbers, for example, from the Atlantic coast of the USA to Morocco there are 4 sea areas, this makes the American player to stay at least one turn on the high seas vulnerable to attacks by German U-boat, and then you are obliged to sail with an adequate escort convoys, such as cruisers and escort carriers (vessels that we introduced in Total War drawing inspiration from the Bogue class).
For us it is not a problem to play very long games because our game can always be mounted here in the office where every player takes their turn between a job duty and the next one.
