Upcoming Games
Upcoming Games
Dear Mr Harris
I am a big fan of your games, as are quite a few of us over here in Britain, I must say i have a personal preference to the smaller, 'operation' level games, such as D-Day, Guadalcanal, and my favourite, BOTB. I know its been a while since their release but i was wondering if you planned on releasing a fourth one in the series? perhaps set in Stalingrad, Dunkirk or Operation Market Garden, perhaps even a hypothetical Operation Sea Lion. I would love to hear your thoughts on any upcoming games of this nature, i certainly hope there might be one in the pipeline
Many thanks and all the best
DK

I can't really get into what's coming or what's not coming in terms of new product. At least not as relates to products published by Wizards of the Coast. I'm working on a couple of games at the moment. They are not, as you call them "operations" level (good title) games, however... They are more like... Well lets just say... Romanesque and 13th Amendment issues.

If I were to do another battle series game I would be torn between "Market Garden", Stalingrad, and simply stated... Eastern Front.
By the way... BoTB is my favorite operational level game too.

Gettysburg?
Technically, Romanesque refers to the period from c 1000 AD, so I hope you're being especially cryptic here.
I am, of course, available on a consultancy basis for Ancient and Medieval games.

Re: Upcoming Games
Stick to games that include Americans. It will sell.
The Civil War
The Civil War
We really need an Axis and Allies World War one game so i can play that on August 1st, 2014.
Re: Upcoming Games
Any war that has Europe as a battlefield is very interesting for a boardgame, due to the geographic area.
I'll rate the pacific scenario second best.
Games that have other battlefields (such as fortress america for example) are not as interesting, cause the flat borders make them a bit boring.
I'd be curious about a Napoleonic game from Larry. It would probably just be an axis and allies 1914 reskin withouth airforce and with france being the offender. But I'd still buy it lol.

Re-skinning is not something I'm interested in doing.

What about de-skinning?Larry wrote:Re-skinning is not something I'm interested in doing.
