Any New games for 2013 besides AA1914???

Tokens or different sculpts for Veteran Infantry
Generals
Forts
Ironclads
Steamships/Gunboats
Possible mortars ( but probably not)

Classic Southern units are better quality, Union have just more units and ability to raise more units. Some rules for British aid/ blockade of southern ports.

I know he is working on this.
We really need an Axis and Allies World War one game so i can play that on August 1st, 2014.

I am with Flash on this Imperious unless he sent you an e-mail or you guys talk on the side I don't know how you could know. I hope you're right though because I am for these games going down many different time periods in history. I believe there would be a market for it. I definately believe WW1 second edition will happen in 2014. The anniversary of the conflict. I might have just stumbled on it. Axis and Allies 1914 Anniversary Edition kind of perfect don't you think.

In a Civil War edition, what would the game do differently from, say, Eagle Games American Civil War?

Certainly less abstract naval conflict, with some nice ship minis.

Larry would probably reign back the rail movement, despite this being the first war in which railways played a definitive role in shaping the nature of the conflict.

Probably slightly simpler battles, without the "break the line" mechanics.

One problem is that the battles started out in "Napoleonic" mode, with lines of infantry blazing away at each other; then developed into the first examples of trench warfare as the high casualties began to hit home.

Do you only allow players to "entrench", or give infantry a defensive bonus, after a set number of turns; i.e. trenches are treated in effect as a tech?

Does the contested areas mechanic come into operation after a time?

Civil war would be ok because it was an interesting conflict but I'm still waiting for a Stalingrad or Operation Barbarossa game. C'mon larry!!!!

Way to go with an A&A: Stalingrad. The map, areas, infantry/tank/MG units, rubble markers, Luftwaffe with abilities like the air force in A&A: D-Day. Use your imagination!The river & a painted map with each area labeled. Could you imagine that? Perfect game for it!

Never say never Flash. He did Conquest of the Empire and that didn't have any Americans in it. I think doing a Stalingrad game might be a hard one. I personally would much rather see a Kursk game. More space and a lot more unit types.
