I hate to be practical amidst the jubilee, but can we admit that we're never going to be able finish a game of this magnitude in one sitting. I personally video tape the board, but sometimes never get back to it. C'est la vie. You've gotta want it.
A friend leaves his up (single guy!), but I've got seven wonderful kinetic charges. Some of whom play, by the way. My oldest is always saying, "I just want to finish one." What do you guys do?

Where do you play 50 online?
I've got a midweek group that's been going on regularly for a month. We play for 2-3 hours and leave it set up at my friend's house. If I can squeeze in one Saturday per month on top of that, I'm doing pretty good. ' Course I have a board fully set up carefully placed on top of a hutch. That's as much as I can feed the habit.

Hey what's your T1 build for UK and USA in '42/50? I usually do a plant in India and start building the invasion fleet. Now I'm thinking subs to destroy the pesky Italian fleet, pass through the Suez and steam toward the IJN. Keep 'em bottled up around the homeland by turn 7or 8. Even subs for US T2 as a second wave.

Dude you gotta play online- actually its play by forum (PBF).

1. Go to axisandallies.org

2. click "forums"

3. click "AA50 edition"

4. click "AABattlemap"- there are the instructions to download the free map and modules to play

5. go back to "forums"

6. scroll down til you find "find players" or something like that.
there are threads that teach how to use the dice roller and such and find players.

You will be able to play by forum and play several games at once.

Look me up there and give me a personal message. I go by the same name- Questioneer

Hope this helps- we can talk there more about strategies on that site.
:D
