That mechanic sounds neat; attrition with breakthrough unlikely.

Just wondering if the map will have spaces that correspond to historical places like Verdun and the Somme?

This game will be here before we know it. I am going to let my buddies know tonight. This is perfect we were running out of real powers to play in AA. With 8 legitimate powers to play all of my friends will get a good one. I would bet this won't be the last WW1 game Larry does. BTW is that going to be the name Axis and Allies 1914?

Will there be more specific games in the future like Verdun, Jutland, or, Spring 1917 can the Allies hold out till the US enters the war? type games, thanks, Pellulo

sorry but i have a question:

The types of units listed are correct?

no destroyers?
No Cavalry?

Only 8 types of units?

I am disappointed there is no cavalry.
Sonar really wasn't around yet, so a specific destroyer piece wouldn't be needed.

Will cruisers be 3/2 units?
Will there be ports to repair battleships?

At a certain point in the war Destroyers did have ASW capability, at least for USA and UK. Airships were used to recon the sea and prevent subs from surfacing.
