Re: Alpha+.1 Theorycrafting
French and Italian units could have to undergo rolls to see what they do when their capitol falls. 1 - 3 4 - 6 To see which side they join. Then another roll to see if they fight. Should give each game more randomness. If I recall we had to kill some French naval and land units during operation torch.

Re: Alpha+.1 Theorycrafting
I own a game callen Onslaught. Hex game which represents Normandy Landings to the end of the war. It is semi historical and simple enought. I am thinking ten to one inf to armor ratio? Lets see....Battle of the Bulge.......Germans were tank and mech heavy. 1St 2nd 9th SS divisions... One other? Some...

Re: Alpha+.1 Theorycrafting
Did the Prince of Whales or the Repulse score any hits against the tac bombers which sank them? What was the German bomber that dropped that guided bomb on Warspite in the Med? The one which left one of Warspite's turrets inoperable for the Normandy bombardment. I cant believe I am doing all this ty...

Re: Any chance for an Axis and Allies Expansion?
I am all about a Global game with a Spring 1942 starting point.
Quicker game for multi player ease.
The American player has an instant war.
Game might only last half as long. I love the long games. Only a couple of my friends do though.

Re: Alpha+.1
I am going to play a few times and see how things go balance wise. Agreed on the complicated part but I don't think we need to do w/o rules. I admit I own the 1984 version, 1999 Europe, 2001 Pacific, D-Day, Revised, had to make our own darned copy of Anniversary, now both Pacific40 and Europe40. Whe...

Re: Alpha+.1
Soviet losses 14.2% is Calvin. Per Wikipedia. I could reference the chart's source but why bother. I think we've talked enough about this.
Larry I cant wait to try the new set up and bomber rules btw. Will be interesting to see the effects.
Let me know how it goes.

Re: Alpha + // Play test version
I'm thinking a relatively minor Allied bump. Inexperienced Axis players are still going to have a heck of a time advancing. Something tiny. Perhaps 2 Russian tanks or so, maybe artillery in Amur. (I just like T-34's lol) Really though I've just played 3 games with 11/23 Alpha + and 1 team game with ...

Re: Alpha+ game 1
Oh wow. Germany got Moscow in your game. E was it through sheer weight or a Italy can opener trick or manuevering? Agreed about America having it difficult. My one Axis opponent loves everything naval. Just like your Italy his is making thirty bucks now. My America doesnt dare leave Japan alone or t...
