I don't see what's abnormal about a 4 hour game. From my experience, 4 hours would be considered a short game. One game of AAE that we played took us IIRC a total of about ~12 hours. That's only AAE. So I don't see why "long" games (more than 4 hours) are so bad. If people are only taking 2-3 hours ...

Efficiency is how many kills can I get for this amount of money that I spend. Units with high movement will end up killing more than units with less. Like I said about the proposed MI, the artillery and it have the same individual stats. But its when you add multiple units that their efficiency dive...

48"x36" is minimum. Any smaller and you accomplish nothing. Other requirements: Board edges at traditional American continental divide. China should be the center of the board so that the Pacific is proportionally correct. Add Italian player and upgrade Chinese player from AAP. Have at least 2 Franc...

Ok, that's a good solution that I can handle. Italy as an independant nation and China as satellite of the US like in AAP. On Africa, I totally agree. The same should happen to India: the second most populous nation on earth and the Crown Jewel of the British Empire is worth more than a puny 1 terri...

Nuclear: I noticed that your equation is still in progress. I merely meant to point out some things to add in the future. If it seemed like I was saying something else about you making a mistake, I am sorry. That was not my intention. However, I do think that movement is a big part of efficiency. Be...

On the discussion of whether to add Italy or China, I think that BOTH might work. This would bolster the Axis and allow Germany to concentrate on USSR and the Atlantic. China would help prevent Japanese tank drives to Moscow and encourage the US to actually fight in the Pacific instead of entirely K...

Hobbes77, you have brought some very good points to the table. Thanks for this. I agree with Mimmo. Spring 1941 has the axis at their strongest with their best chances for victory. In my opinion, the ideal window for the game is May 1941. Here are my reasons: Italian empire is still intact (barely)....

Nuclear, your equation does not take into account vitally important stats such as movement, hit points, special abilities and type of operations. As Axis_roll said, you can't compare land, sea and air units in this simple of an equation. The fighter and bomber are amazingly valuable because they can...
