I agree IL, this points to the best 'fix' for the pacific, if Japan cannot compete it might be best just to reduce allied NO's rather than fix the Japanese ones.

As edfactor pointed out Russia starts with almost all infantry. My best barbarossa defenses have been when I have built more arty than inf in the initial rounds. actually numbering the areas would be great. Very easy to tell a 1 from a 3 or a 8. I also have been known to do the setup with one person sitting by the computer calling out the totals while another places units on the board...but when we get to China there is always confusion as to which one gets ...

I think what he did was use the Japanese names for the areas, but that's just a guess. Not really sure where all these Kwang names came from, I've never seen them on a map.
