Re: ''Super Nintendo Entertainment Systems'' a.k.a. 'SNES'

Having owned PTO for the SNES, I played both sides against the AI. It was a long grinding path to win for the human while the computer would build up massive amounts of money and never spend it. Not exactly the best AI but it was fun to play a WW2 game at a strategic level back in the early 90's. KO...

Re: Favorite World War II movie

For historical accuracy without adding in unneeded subplots, "Tora! Tora! Tora!" was the best one IMO. Giving the Japanese side a solid look is the film from that nation called "Yamato". Want a melodramatic look at the Germans in the USSR? "Cross Of Iron" takes care of that. "Enemy At The Gates" is ...

Re: Battleships & the hit that never was....

Hello Christopher, Taking out pieces from the A&A game for Normandy let me get the ones needed for coastal defense plus trucks to represent logistics. I also have used the small black discs that resemble mines for that purpose. They and a variety of pieces from other war games were put into my Anniv...

Re: How I play AA50: 18vc starting factories

Reflecting how conquered territories reacted, I had my AA50 board with colored dot stickers on some of the territories to indicate whether 1 infantry would automatically pop up per turn. Some territories would always be pro-Allied, some pro-Axis and some mixed depending on the actual history. Even a...

Re: Battleships & the hit that never was....

If one nation has a very low income, that means other nations have a very high income. How many will spring for a superdreadnought? Not many but it is an affordable option for those nations who are well above their starting IPC level. I do like the idea of lower cost naval units though. There could ...

Re: Battleships & the hit that never was....

Going the other way, I have an idea for a superdreadnought. IPC cost: 30. 3 hits to sink. Delivers 2 hits when firing to one target. When it has taken one hit, it becomes a BB needing 2 hits to sink and delivering 1 hit when firing. The second hit slows the superdreadnought now at a BB level down to...

Re: What I would like Larry to design

I would do it on also the ease of play, some can get proficient with a set of Allies and Axis Powers(in a specific geographic area). But the main reason is to avoid another anniversary syndrome game, just too damm expensive, and, you have too wait many years, before you see a reissue. Players deser...

Re: What I would like Larry to design

Perhaps one game covering the Atlantic Ocean to half of the Indian Ocean, and, another game covering all of the Pacific Ocean with the rest of the Indian Ocean. When you desire, do a Global Sea game and combine both map boards and games together! Thanks, Pellulo P.S. Still like to see a Battle of J...
