Re: Possible House Rule or Alternate Set-up: France Goes Fir

I must admit that I never thought of France buying an aircraft carrier. I also forgot that a minor IC was added to S. France in the revised setup. This probably would make France more of a pest than I had hoped. I did read over the Vichy rules, and I do like them. I also like the government-in-exile...

Re: Possible House Rule or Alternate Set-up: France Goes Fir

With all due respect, I guess I'm not understanding why France moving first (with 15 IPCs of units subtracted from its starting setup) busts the game while adding units to the current French setup balances it. I think we are both attempting to make France something that (a) Germany has to actually d...

Re: Possible House Rule or Alternate Set-up: France Goes Fir

Yeah, Canada got totally short-changed, but that's because the game wasn't designed for Canada to be a separate power. It's industrial production was very significant during the war. If Canada were designed to be a separate economy from the ground up, it would probably be more like 10 or 12 IPC.

Re: Possible House Rule or Alternate Set-up: France Goes Fir

Interesting exchange on Europe 1940 board: Imperious Leader do you just think that the French should have your Maginot line rule, or a larger number of equipment as well with the rule? Response: Both: Employ the rule and give France a proper number of units. Make sure the attack is an either or prop...

Re: Official Rules Clarifications

So just to be clear, an Axis player could capture Eire and then attack Scotland with land units on its next turn?

Re: Official Rules Clarifications

Does Turkey have a land border with Greece? I feel the answer should be yes, but the fact that the Med and Black Seas are connected by a straight (as opposed to a canal) makes this a bit confusing.

Re: Possible House Rule or Alternate Set-up: France Goes Fir

In my games now ANZAC does not exist and UK has 4 economies, Britain, India, Australia and Canada. That's amazing! I just proposed the same idea in another thread. The only difference is I kept the 2 separate powers (calling Canada + Australia = Commonwealth), although I was almost 50-50 in wanting...
