Re: Official Rules Clarifications

Thanks for the quick answer (as always). So, just to confirm (a), the sub can move out to a Sz without enemy warships during the combat phase.

Re: Cruisers are pointless

I've found cruisers very useful (as they are) with Japan. Sydney and Honolulu are 3 SZs away from Japan and/or the Carolines, planes on aircraft carriers cannot help with the assault but shore-bombardment can. As edfactor said, cruisers are already very good at that.

Re: Official Rules Clarifications

Hi Krieg, A small question: if my sub starts in a Sz with enemy warships (but no enemy destroyer), can it move to a Sz without enemy warships? If so, during the combat or NCM phase? The issue is (a) whether the sub can move to a territory without enemy warships during the combat phase, (b) if it can...

Re: Sea Lion in Alpha 3

It seems everyone wants their Sea Lion odds wrapped up neatly, so we're back to discussing more infantry in the UK... With so many French inf now in London you have to wonder if the transport in SZ109 got any Brits home after Dunkirk (not to mention that England later shipped them back to France, bu...

Re: Sea Lion in Alpha 3

I agree with JimmyHat that the solution lies in France. If Germany has to make harder choices it cannot optimise Sea Lion without running more risks. The return of the BEF to Normandy is essential (1 art, 1 inf and 1 fig, which will go back to the UK if they are not destroyed). I also support the ta...

Re: Alpha +3

You can have a stronger France and UK forces in the continent, making G1 interesting again with tough choices for Germany, if: - Russia is weaker in the long-run by prohibiting Allied planes from landing in Russian territories (or having 20 IPCs in NOs that that actually disencourage this); - Some o...

Re: Your Comments:

Oak, No offense dude, but the only way I see Italy taking France right now is if Germany lets them and Germany can let them regardless what you put in France to defend it. 6 Infantry, 2 Artillery, 2 Armor, 1 Fighter, 1 AA Gun is no match for what Germany can bring. We really dont need to nerf it mo...
