Austria-Hungary abbreviation confusion
Pellulo writes: "Russia is tempted to turn flanks and cut off AH forces inside their empire by taking out or contesting Galicia" All I can think is "When did Avalon Hill get an army?" then I say "oh! Austria-Hungary." Anyone else have this problem with the AH abbreviation for Austria-Hungary. AHE wo...

Map Making
IL and others which programs do you use to make your maps?
Which do you recommend.
I'm trying to make a Fall Blau map for a game I am making, and if I could do it on a computer it would be great.
Thanks

Re: Victory Territories
thanks Yope. The labels on the vc's just show why they were important, so for instance, Malta was important because it was a key Allied island. All of the vc's are targets and count for both Axis and Allied totals. When I listed the four cities together (Oslo, Stockholm, Helsinki, Glasgow) I was jus...

Victory Territories
I have made a new list of victory cities. I think the idea of only having 8 victory cities on each side of the map limits strategies and makes the game last too long. With more victory cities you can have more options of where and when to attack and you can also encourage more historical play. You c...

Selecting Casualties
I have come up with an idea about selecting casualties somewhat randomly. You would use the number of the hit to decide which unit is destroyed. It would work as follows: On a roll of 1 the lowest cost unit would be destroyed. On a roll of 2 the second lowest cost unit would be destroyed. On a roll ...

Re: Waiting for Stalingrad/Barbarossa
IL - In your opinion what would have happened if Germany had been able to throw everything they had in the west into the East just before Kursk? Specifically,
their elite Armor force from Western Europe.

Re: Waiting for Stalingrad/Barbarossa
IL you are cracking me up....lol  You at least get what I am doing. Someone said that the Russians would have won the war all by themselves. That is just as ridiculous as saying the Americans and the British would have won the war all by themselves. Both sides helped each other out and even the...
