It's balance relate because on turn 2 Russia was strong enough to crush any Germany army that wasn't just a mass stacking of east poland. There are always 3 groups of Russian power early. Novo, East ukraine and Belaruss. East poland can be hit by the last 2, baltic states can be hit by the first 2. ...

The thing that I'm finding so odd here is that everyone is having such a hard time as the European axis powers, to the point where people are saying victory is impossible.
